Description

A viral dessert combining fresh strawberries, creamy pistachio spread, crispy kataifi, and rich melted chocolate.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 ounces kataifi pastry, chopped

1 cup pistachio butter or pistachio cream

2 tablespoons tahini (optional)

1 cup chocolate chips

1 teaspoon coconut oil

pounds fresh strawberries, halved

Crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions

1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped kataifi and toast until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes.

2. Remove from heat and stir in pistachio butter and tahini until well combined. Let it cool.

3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

4. In clear dessert cups, layer halved strawberries, a drizzle of melted chocolate, and a spoonful of the kataifi-pistachio mixture. Repeat layers as desired.

5. Top with a final drizzle of chocolate and a sprinkle of crushed pistachios.

6. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the kataifi-pistachio mixture ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

For a vegan version, use dairy-free chocolate and plant-based butter.
